Rec Room welcomes Destiny 2 with new Guardian Gauntlet quest

Rec Room and Bungie team up to bring Destiny 2 to a new audience with Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet. This exciting new experience merges the sci-fi universe of Destiny 2 with Rec Room's collaborative gaming environment.

For those unfamiliar, Destiny 2 is a popular FPS MMO where players take on the role of Guardians, wielding elemental powers to defend humanity across the solar system. The game's ongoing story, expanded through yearly releases and quarterly seasons featuring raids and dungeons, continues with the recently launched "The Final Shape" season.

Starting July 11th, Rec Room players can explore a meticulously recreated Destiny Tower, a beloved location from the original game. Accessible across console, PC, VR, and mobile platforms, this recreation lets you train as a Guardian, embark on thrilling adventures, and connect with other Destiny 2 fans.

The experience also introduces cosmetic items based on Destiny 2's three classes: Hunter, Warlock, and Titan. The Hunter set and weapon skins are available now, with the Titan and Warlock sets arriving in the coming weeks.

Rec Room itself is a free-to-download platform where users can create and share games, virtual spaces, and other content without coding. Available on Android, iOS, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox X, Xbox One, Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, and PC (via Steam).
