Rivals Update 9 Introduces the Gunblade and Bridge Map as Nosniy Prepares to Add Ranked Mode

Roblox's Rivals FPS experience receives Update 9, introducing the Gunblade and Bridge map. Developer Nosniy Games' patch notes highlight these additions, along with minor cosmetic tweaks. This update is smaller than recent ones, focusing on new content rather than extensive bug fixes or balance changes.

The Gunblade is a unique dual-purpose weapon, combining a rifle and a melee blade, adding a strategic element to combat. The new Bridge map, created by @GreatGuyBoom and set in Seoul, Korea, is a close-quarters combat arena designed for intense duels.

Update 9 notably omits bug fixes and balance adjustments, prioritizing the new content. Minor skin modifications for the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renaming of some Hexxed items to Vexed, are included. Nosniy Games assures players that these improvements, along with the highly anticipated Ranked mode, will be included in the next major update.

The developers emphasize listening to player feedback and promise to address all necessary changes before the Ranked mode launch. Since its May launch, Rivals has consistently received updates, such as Update 7 which added the Energy Rifle, Energy Pistols, and Crossbow.
