Rockstar Releases Anniversary Update for Bully After Six Years

Rockstar, the masterminds behind the GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year wait, fans can finally dive into this new update, available exclusively for mobile platforms.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition now boasts updated language support and a patch that zeroes in on stability enhancements and bug fixes. One notable change is the temporary disablement of Friends Challenges.

For Android users with compatible devices, Rockstar has introduced Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), giving visuals a noticeable boost. They've also refreshed the app icon and added haptic feedback across both iOS and Android platforms.

Several missions have seen fixes: 'That Bitch' now allows you to successfully pick Mandy’s locker, 'Weed Killer' progresses correctly even if you break the window prematurely, and 'The Rumble' no longer features police cars falling through the floor. Additionally, the update resolves issues where enemies wouldn’t attack Jimmy, ensuring a more balanced combat experience. It also tackles crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The Bully community has long been vocal about their desire for a sequel, Bully 2. Rumors circulated about its development in the 2010s, but it was ultimately shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, hopes for Bully 2 are dimming, especially with many original developers having moved on from Rockstar. While the Anniversary Edition isn’t a full remaster or sequel, it represents a significant update for mobile players.

If you're new to Bully, imagine a schoolyard sandbox game with the signature Rockstar humor and open-world antics. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old troublemaker navigating life at Bullworth Academy.

You can grab Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99, and it supports full gamepad functionality.
