This enchanting adventure immerses players in the magical world of the Ancient Library, where they assume the role of Wright, a young apprentice under the tutelage of Yuisil, the Witch of Portals.
Wright embarks on a journey through four mystical books, each transporting him to a unique and richly detailed world. One book plunges him into a quest to aid a princess knight in reclaiming her fallen kingdom, while another unveils the enigmatic mysteries of the underworld. The dynamic nature of the game ensures that every playthrough offers a distinct and unpredictable experience, shaped by the player's choices.
Gameplay Mechanics:
Novel Rogue's core gameplay revolves around a strategic turn-based card battle system. Each of the four worlds presents a unique deck-building challenge. Players defeat enemies, select from three new cards after each encounter, and meticulously craft their optimal deck.
The game incorporates innovative features such as the "Change" command, allowing players to strategically redistribute damage among their allies, and "Novel Power," which empowers deck enhancement using ink. For those seeking a greater challenge, the "Deep Record" mode significantly increases dungeon difficulty, promising high-stakes battles and rewarding victories.
Beyond combat, players cultivate relationships with characters by gifting them treasures, unlocking special endings based on their interactions. Aesthetic customization is also available through "Witch Stones," enabling players to alter character costumes and personalize their appearance.
