The upcoming Spotlight Hour is set for January 14th, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This week's star is Roselia, a Grass and Poison-type Pokémon from the Hoenn region (#0315 in the Pokédex). To maximize your experience, make sure to stock up on berries, Pokéballs, and incense. During this event, players can benefit from a x2 Catch XP bonus, making it an excellent opportunity to boost your XP quickly.

Roselia, part of a three-stage evolution, evolves from Budew with 25 Candies and into Roserade with 100 Candies and a Sinnoh Stone. With a maximum Combat Power of 2114 CP, 186 Attack, and 131 Defense, Roselia is a formidable choice. Catching this Pokémon rewards players with three candies and 100 Stardust.

Roselia can be traded within Pokémon GO and transferred to Pokémon Home. As a Grass and Poison-type, it is vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-type attacks, taking 160% more damage. Conversely, it resists Electric, Fairy, Fighting, and Water-type attacks, receiving 63% reduced damage, with Grass-type attacks offering the highest resistance at 39%. For the best performance, equip Roselia with Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb, achieving 10.96 DPS and 99.91 TDO, with Cloudy Weather boosting its effectiveness.

A Shiny version of Roselia is also available, sporting a brighter green body and purple and black roses. To increase your chances of catching a Shiny Roselia, use incense and berries to ensure a successful capture if one appears.
