If you've been eagerly awaiting the return of one of the more budget-friendly Blackwell cards at a reputable retailer, now's your chance to snag one at the list price. Amazon is currently offering the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 Windforce OC 12GB Graphics Card exclusively to Amazon Prime members for $609.99, complete with free shipping. This GPU is perfect for gaming at up to 1440p resolutions with high frame rates and is equipped with the latest DLSS 4 technology.
It's worth noting that the suggested launch price for a GeForce RTX 5070 card is $549.99. While a few models are available at this price point, they're notoriously difficult to find in stock. The Windforce model's higher price is due to its OC (overclocked) version. Despite this, it's currently the most affordable standalone RTX 5070 GPU on the market.
$609.99 at Amazon
Compared to the previous generation GPUs, the RTX 5070 holds its own against the RTX 4070 Super. While we might have hoped for a more significant leap in raw performance, the RTX 4070 Super was already a top performer for 1080p and 1440p gaming, launching at $599.99—only $10 less than this Gigabyte 5070 model. However, finding an RTX 4070 Super at this price is nearly impossible now. The RTX 5070 offers superior visuals and performance in games that leverage DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation, making it a more future-proof option that will continue to improve with driver updates.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Review by Jacqueline Thomas
"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 delivers as promised: it's capable of running games at 1440p with high frame rates. However, its performance doesn't significantly outstrip the RTX 4070 Super or other cards in its price range. The addition of Multi Frame Generation is a nice touch, especially for those with high-refresh monitors, but it might not justify an upgrade on its own."
