$119.99 at Amazon
Nintendo Switch 2 owners looking to expand their storage will need to upgrade to microSD Express cards, as the console's faster internal storage makes standard microSD cards incompatible. During Amazon Prime Day, SanDisk opened pre-orders for its 512GB model—your best chance to secure this increasingly scarce accessory before potential sellouts.
Supply has been extremely limited, with competitor Luxar's models selling out instantly whenever they stock on Amazon. Given the Switch 2's modest 256GB internal storage—which fills quickly with third-party titles like 80GB+ games—an expansion card is essential if you plan to keep multiple major titles installed. Even "physical" Game-Key Cards require console storage space, making a microSD Express purchase practically mandatory for serious gamers.
While you're upgrading your storage, these Prime Day Switch game deals are worth considering for your Switch 2 library:
$39.99 $16.99 (58% off)
$59.99 $34.99 (42% off)
$74.99 $44.99 (40% off)
The SanDisk 512GB microSD Express card delivers the necessary speed and capacity for Switch 2 users, while these discounted Switch titles offer excellent value for building your next-gen library. Act fast—both the storage card and game deals won't last.
