Sgt. Winter Arrives in Fortnite Winterfest '24!

Mariah Carey has arrived in Fortnite, kicking off the 2024 Winterfest event! To complete the Wintervestigation Quests, players must locate SGT. Winter and discuss his investigation. Here's how to find him.

SGT. Winter's Location in Fortnite Chapter 6

The initial Wintervestigation Quest directs players to SGT. Winter. These quests involve teaming up with Noir to uncover clues and discover new NPCs across the Chapter 6 map. The quest tracker will pinpoint SGT. Winter's location—a snowy mountain near a plane crash site, east of Warrior's Watch and south of Foxy Floodgate. It's close to Mariah Carey's in-game concert location.

Talking to SGT. Winter

SGT. Winter, marked by a speech bubble icon, patrols near the plane wreckage. Interact with him; a menu appears, offering a Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Blizzard Grenade, or conversation options. Select the magnifying glass icon to initiate dialogue about his investigation. Completing the conversation awards 25,000 XP and a new mission leading to Noir in Seaport City.

Survival and Looting Strategies

Reaching SGT. Winter can be challenging, as the area is a popular drop zone. Consider waiting a few days for the crowds to thin, or utilize these strategies:

• Buy Loot: Purchase items from SGT. Winter using gold bars. The Holo Twister Assault Rifle is a strong early-game weapon.
• Use Cover: The plane wreckage provides ample cover. Land near chests, use the wreckage for protection, and eliminate opponents. Many players may only have pickaxes initially, giving you an advantage.
