Retro Rampage Rebrands as Deadly Dudes

NetEase Games has launched a fresh zombie-themed action title on Android. The game, Deadly Dudes, transports players to an alternate 1990s reality overrun by the undead. This side-scrolling adventure blends survival strategy with a generous helping of dark humor.

Originally known as Retro Rampage, the game spent nearly a year in early access, starting in 2024. Its concise 2D design guides you through the city, pursuing the villain across a series of missions.

Run & Gun

Deadly Dudes captures the unmistakable spirit of the 90s through its visuals and audio. From the gritty urban landscapes and vintage automobiles to the graffiti-decorated walls and driving retro tunes, the atmosphere is authentic.

Players must fend off relentless waves of zombies using a diverse arsenal. Weapons range from handguns and shotguns to rifles, each with unique handling that encourages tactical swapping.

A significant emphasis is placed on base-building and strategic defense. You can rescue other survivors, enhance your shelter, craft superior equipment, and construct defensive towers.

The game also encourages preparation and planning amidst the chaos. Your shelter acts as both a final stronghold and a sanctuary, directly influencing your chances of survival.

Deadly Dudes Features a Memorable Cast!

The leading characters each bring distinctive abilities and backstories to the fight. You’ll find a classic gunslinger, a demolition specialist, a tech expert, and others. Pairing their unique skills with your weapon loadouts opens up varied tactical options. An idle material gathering system is also included.

Blending comedy with mayhem, the game provides a concise backstory. The primary antagonist, Dr. Robotnik, is responsible for the zombie outbreak that draws you into the city. Numerous in-game events offer opportunities to earn rewards.

Deadly Dudes is packed with humor and nods to 90s pop culture. Expect explosions, cheesy jokes, and a spirited group of survivors. If you enjoy games that mix shooting, building, and laughter, you can download it now from the Google Play Store.
