IGN: Sigourney, thank you for joining us! Your character at the panel seemed to be wearing a Rebel pilot uniform. Can you tell us more about her?
Sigourney Weaver: She is indeed wearing a Rebel pilot uniform. She's a pilot dedicated to protecting the New Republic, operating in the Outer Rim where remnants of the Empire still linger. Her mission often requires the assistance of the Mandalorian and his loyal companion.
IGN: Your affection for Grogu was a significant factor in your decision to join the project. What was it like working with him?
Weaver: Grogu is incredibly mischievous. Despite the presence of multiple puppeteers, he always felt real to me. His charm and antics made every scene delightful.
IGN: You've worked with various aliens throughout your career, from Xenomorphs to Na'vi. How does working with Grogu compare?
Weaver: Grogu is undoubtedly the cutest. While Xenomorphs and other aliens have their own appeal, Grogu's charm is unmatched. The Japanese term "Kawaii" perfectly describes him.
**IGN:** You mentioned not having watched *The Mandalorian* before starting this project. What was it like watching the series afterward?
Weaver: I was thrilled to work with Jon Favreau on a Star Wars project. Watching The Mandalorian felt like revisiting a classic Western with a fresh twist. The series reintroduced me to the Star Wars universe in a charming way, with Din Djarin and Grogu being standout characters.
IGN: In the footage we saw, Grogu seemed to be using his Force powers to steal snacks from you. Can you tell us more about that scene?
Weaver: Yes, he was trying to take my snacks with his Force gestures. I had to be quite firm to get them back!
IGN: Do you get to see Grogu's Force powers in action throughout the movie?
Weaver: Grogu is always up to something. While I see him more in relaxed moments at our base, it's clear he's transitioning from a learner to a skilled apprentice. His growth is remarkable.
IGN: How did you come to be part of this project, and what's your history with Star Wars?
Weaver: I've always been a fan of Star Wars, with Rogue One being a particular favorite due to Felicity Jones's portrayal of a Rebel fighter. Returning to the series felt like reconnecting with my childhood.
IGN: Finally, who do you think is more powerful: Grogu or a Xenomorph?
Weaver: I believe a Xenomorph is more powerful. They are driven by instinct to destroy and dominate, whereas Grogu, like Yoda, embodies wisdom and goodness.
IGN: And Grogu's cuteness doesn't make him threatening, right?
Weaver: Absolutely, though if he had stayed with Werner Herzog, who knows what might have happened?
