Acquiring the Slayer's Fang Shotgun in Destiny 2Slayer's Fang Perks and Attributes
The Slayer's Fang shotgun is earned by completing the Kell's Fall mission within Destiny 2. This mission forms the climactic conclusion of Episode Revenant's third act. Successful mission completion rewards you with the Slayer's Fang. You can replay the mission to obtain enhanced versions and experiment with different perk combinations.
For players returning to Destiny 2, locate and track the Episode Revenant questline via your Director. The objectives are clear and will ultimately lead you to Kell's Fall.
Remember to also Extract Pattern upon obtaining your first Slayer's Fang; this unlocks the ability to craft it later.
This Exotic shotgun boasts one Intrinsic perk and one unique Trait:
| Perk | Effect |
|---|---|
| Nightsworn Sight (Intrinsic) | Landing final blows activates Nightsworn Sight. While active, final blows grant Truesight, increased reload speed and precision damage, and submunitions weaken enemies. |
| Heart Piercer (Unique Trait) | Shots fragment into submunitions on impact. Highly effective against Overload Champions. |
These perks combine to create a remarkably potent and engaging shotgun, making it a worthwhile addition to any arsenal, even without pursuing its catalysts.
This concludes our guide on obtaining the Slayer's Fang shotgun in Destiny 2. For more Destiny 2 insights and strategies, including guides on weapons like the Compass Rose, check out The Escapist.
