Spooky Pixel Hero: A Retro Horror Platformer Coming August 12th!
Appsir, the creators of the chilling DERE Vengeance, are back with a new mobile game: Spooky Pixel Hero. This meta-horror platformer plunges you into the unsettling world of a 1976 game, where appearances are deceiving.
You'll play as a game developer debugging a lost platformer for a mysterious agency. Prepare for a challenging experience with over 120 levels of intense platforming action. But beware, the game's narrative transcends its pixelated world, hinting at ominous consequences.
Spooky Pixel Hero evokes the chilling atmosphere of Airdorf Games' Faith, offering a unique blend of retro aesthetics and modern horror. The pseudo-retro pixel art effectively creates a disturbingly compelling world, despite any historical inaccuracies.
Prepare for Frights!
The combination of hardcore platforming and a mysterious meta-horror story promises a captivating experience. While purists might debate the graphical authenticity, the unsettling abstractness of the pixel art contributes to the game's unnerving atmosphere.
If Spooky Pixel Hero follows in the footsteps of DERE Vengeance, expect some truly terrifying moments. Mark your calendars! It launches on Google Play and the iOS App Store on August 12th.
