Since launching on mobile last year, Epic Games Store has brought its signature weekly free games to handheld devices. These titles remain permanently in your library, and this week's offering - Super Space Club - delivers fast-paced 2D space battles against swarming enemy fighters.
Super Space Club reimagines classic space shooters with minimalist polygonal aesthetics. Created by solo developer GrahamOfLegend (who documents his progress on YouTube), the game lets players customize their experience with varied spacecraft and pilot combinations, each offering different tactical advantages.
With more than 100 possible ship-pilot-skill configurations, players must carefully manage their vessel's energy systems during intense missions, balancing offensive capabilities with defensive requirements against relentless enemy waves and challenging boss encounters.
Elegantly DesignedSuper Space Club exemplifies Epic Games Store's strategy of curating mobile-friendly free titles. Its accessible gameplay mechanics combine with substantial content depth, making it a standout entry in the space combat genre.
Beyond its current offering, GrahamOfLegend's work hints at exciting future projects. Retro-style island builder Ourlands may eventually join Super Space Club in the mobile space, given the developer's growing portfolio.
While Super Space Club shines, it's just one of several notable mobile releases this week. For a broader perspective, explore our weekly roundup highlighting five must-try new mobile games, carefully selected from the latest launches.
