RuneScape Releases Dev Diary Previewing Return to the Desert: Pharaoh’s Folly Update

RuneScape has unveiled its April Developer Diary detailing the latest game update – Return to the Desert: Pharaoh’s Folly. This brand-new quest launches today and remains available through April 28th. Players must navigate the perilous Shifting Tombs alongside allies Leela and Ozan to alter the desert’s destiny.

Everything You Need to Know About Pharaoh’s Folly

The Kharidian desert descends into turmoil as Menaphos faces internal collapse. Following Osman's shocking betrayal of his own people, the city crumbles amid growing divisions. With Amascut's sinister influence spreading through the shadows, escaping the treacherous Shifting Tombs marks only the first challenge in this unfolding crisis.

You won't face these dangers alone. Alongside returning ally Leela and some unexpected new companions (including helpful pets), you'll delve into Menaphos' ancient secrets to uncover Osman's true motives.

Braving the Desert Once More

Completing Pharaoh’s Folly offers substantial rewards:

  • Thieving and Agility XP boosts
  • The prestigious "The Rabble-Rouser" title
  • Leela’s Favour bracelet – granting teleportation access to all Menaphos districts

The bracelet provides instant transportation to:

  • All Menaphos districts
  • Sophanem Slayer Dungeon
  • The Shifting Tombs
  • Active Soul Obelisks

This quest isn't accessible to new players – requirements include:

  • Slayer level 87
  • Completion of "Beneath Scabaras’ Sands" quest
  • Progress in the Do No Evil questline via Phite Club
  • Specific Fort Forinthry storyline constructions

Only qualified adventurers can meet Leela outside Menaphos' gates and attempt to save the city. Ready your gear and meet these challenges head-on!
