Ticket to Ride: Switzerland Expansion Brings New Routes and Challenges!

The popular digital board game, Ticket to Ride, is expanding its railway empire with the new Switzerland expansion! This exciting addition introduces country-to-country and city-to-country routes, opening up a new strategic layer to gameplay. Players can now connect Switzerland with its neighboring countries, building their railroad networks across a wider geographical area.

The expansion also includes two new player characters and four new train tokens, making it a perfect holiday gift for Ticket to Ride enthusiasts. Developer Marmalade Games aimed to provide a festive update, offering not only new locations but also fresh gameplay mechanics. These new route types demand careful planning and strategic adjustments to maximize points. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer, the Switzerland expansion promises a dynamic and engaging experience.

Country-to-country tickets challenge players to connect specific countries, offering multiple choices and varying point values depending on the connection. For example, a ticket might allow connection between France and Germany, Italy, or Austria, each yielding a different point reward upon completion. City-to-country tickets function similarly, but require linking a city to a country.

The number of available nodes in each country adds another layer of strategic depth. Careful planning is crucial to secure the most valuable routes. Successfully completing a ticket earns points based on the highest-scoring connection, while failure results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.

The Switzerland Expansion is currently available on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox releases coming soon. Stay updated on all things Ticket to Ride by following Marmalade Games on Facebook and Instagram.
