HoYoverse's *Tears of Themis* has a new update: the Ballad of the Dunes, a collaboration event with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This exciting crossover blends the game's signature detective work with the rich cultural heritage of Dunhuang, a city on the edge of the Gobi Desert, creating a captivating blend of mystery and history.
This event immerses players in the romance and mystery of the ancient Silk Road. Explore the captivating world of Dunhuang, solving puzzles against the backdrop of its rich history and vibrant culture. The Ballad of the Dunes introduces four stunning new MR cards, each featuring one of the main characters—Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius—styled after iconic elements of Dunhuang's artistic heritage. Think flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the classic pipa. The visual design is inspired by the ancient performers depicted in the Mogao Caves, reflecting the Silk Road's diverse artistic influences from the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD). HoYoverse masterfully brings this historical richness to life within the *Tears of Themis* universe.
Each card boasts a unique story: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." These cards include Private Messages that delve deeper into this thousand-year-old journey, offering a richer narrative experience.
