The Hidden Ones, the highly anticipated Hitori No Shita-based brawler from Tencent Games and MoreFun Studios, has had its pre-alpha playtest delayed. Initially slated for next week, the playtest is now rescheduled for February 27th, 2025. The developers cite the need for additional polishing to ensure a top-tier player experience. This announcement was made via the game's official website.

A Deeper Dive into The Hidden Ones

Blending Eastern philosophies like Taoism and Yin Yang with modern martial arts, The Hidden Ones promises a thrilling action-brawler experience within the rich Hitori No Shita universe. The game emphasizes character understanding, philosophical depth, and mastering unique abilities.

Players will unravel a cinematic storyline focused on the Outcasts, battling increasingly difficult bosses across multiple levels. These boss encounters are directly linked to chapters within the overarching martial arts saga and dynamically adapt to the player's progress.

Multiple game modes are included. A Duel mode offers competitive player-versus-player combat, while an action roulette mechanic allows players to temporarily acquire the skills of other characters during fights. A challenging trial mode features a series of escalating boss battles, demanding mastery of diverse characters and fighting styles.
