In June 2022, Sony launched its revamped PlayStation Plus service, which is divided into three tiers, offering subscribers access to an extensive library of games spanning PlayStation's rich history, including titles from the PS1 and PSP eras. This service not only celebrates the legacy of the PlayStation brand but also caters to a wide array of gaming genres, from horror and platformers to RPGs and strategy games. Notably, PlayStation Plus does not fall short when it comes to open-world games, providing a diverse selection that should satisfy most gaming enthusiasts.
Whether you're in the market for a PlayStation exclusive or a blockbuster from a third-party developer, the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers are likely to meet your needs. With such a vast catalog of titles, deciding where to begin can be daunting, especially within the open-world genre. PS Plus offers a comprehensive range of open-world experiences, encompassing first-person shooters, survival games, and role-playing adventures. Let's explore some of the best open-world games available on PS Plus.
It's important to note that while all the open-world games mentioned here are accessible through PS Plus Premium, not all are included in the Extra tier.
The games listed are not ranked purely on quality; instead, new additions are prioritized to keep the list fresh and relevant.
