Disney Speedstorm is gearing up to launch its much-anticipated 12th season, and this time, the excitement revolves around the iconic sequel, Tron: Legacy! Fans of the franchise will be thrilled to see beloved characters like Quorra, Sam Flynn, Rinzler, and more debuting as playable racers.
It's fascinating to note that Disney, renowned for its animated classics and sometimes hit-or-miss live-action ventures, also broke new ground in the world of digital effects with the original Tron back in 1982. Fast forward to today, and the excitement surrounding the latest season of Disney Speedstorm is palpable for fans of Tron: Legacy.
Set to launch on March 6th, this new season of Disney Speedstorm brings an array of additions inspired by the landmark film. Racers like Sam Flynn, Quorra, Rinzler (Tron), and Zuse (the club's memorable character from Tron: Legacy) will be equipped with eye-catching neon-themed weaponry, including the iconic identity disks. However, fans hoping to see these characters on the iconic lightcycles might be disappointed as they'll be racing on stylish yet traditional karts. Nonetheless, the season introduces new Crew Members such as Kevin Flynn, ISO, Jarvis, and others, along with an all-new track to explore!
**No lightcycles?**
Indeed, while the absence of lightcycles might seem puzzling, Disney Speedstorm's Season 12, "On the Grid," compensates with its impressive lineup. The characters come with unique weaponry and ultimates, promising an exhilarating racing experience.
Mark your calendars, as this thrilling return to the Grid is set to launch on March 6th across all platforms! If you're looking for tips on which racers to choose, don't forget to check out our Disney Speedstorm tier list for some expert advice.
