WoW Unveils Second Timewalking Bonanza

World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, this event offers a non-stop Timewalking experience across various expansions. Prepare for a deluge of Timewarped Badges, powerful experience buffs, and exciting new rewards!

This extended event builds upon the popular five-week Turbulent Timeways event from September 2023. Players once again have the opportunity to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience boost after completing four Timewalking dungeons. This time, however, the rewards are even more substantial.

The Grand Timewalking Tour:

The seven-week journey through WoW's history begins with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and concludes with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. Each week features a different expansion's Timewalking content, including dungeons, raids, and quests.

Here's the complete schedule:

  • January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
  • January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
  • January 21-27: Legion
  • January 28-February 3: Classic
  • February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
  • February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
  • February 18-24: Cataclysm

Rewards and Achievements:

Achieve Mastery of Timeways in five out of the seven weeks to unlock the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement and claim the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount! Timewalking vendors will also offer new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. The Sandy Shalewing pet, previously unavailable, will also be available for those who missed it last time. Plus, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will reward Heroic gear throughout the event.

Looking Ahead:

The conclusion of Turbulent Timeways on February 24th hints at future World of Warcraft plans. Considering Blizzard's typical release cadence, this strongly suggests that Patch 11.1, "Undermined," will likely launch on February 25th, approximately ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With this event, the return of Plunderstorm, and the upcoming War Within update, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for an action-packed start to 2025. Get ready for an epic ride!
