Wuthering Waves' highly anticipated Version 2.0 update, launching January 2nd, 2025, introduces the vibrant nation of Rinascita, alongside a host of new characters, gameplay mechanics, and game modes. This update also marks the game's debut on PlayStation 5.

The update centers around Rinascita, a festive archipelago of independent city-states, recently re-established contact with the rest of Solaris-3 after a period of isolation. Players will experience the Carnevale celebration in Ragunna, kicking off the Rinascita storyline.

A new trailer showcases Rinascita's stunning landscapes and innovative exploration tools:

• New Echoes: Gondola and Wingray Echoes provide unique traversal options – navigate waterways by gondola or soar through the skies at high speed. Additional Echoes, including Lottie Lost and Cuddle Wuddle, are also included.

• Enhanced Gameplay: Version 2.0 introduces engaging new game modes: Flight Challenges, Dream Patrols (special challenges with rewarding prizes), Archive of Melodies, Rinascita Sonance Casket Collector, and Overflowing Palette. A new in-game currency, Monnaie (commemorative coins), is also added. Tactical Hologram: Vitreum Dancer provides further strategic depth.

The trailer reveals new playable characters: Carlotta, Roccia, Zani, Brant, and Phoebe, with Phrolova potentially confirmed as the main antagonist. Excitingly, leaks suggest even more features, including a potential gender-switch option for the main character and enhanced battle damage effects. The MC is also expected to gain a third element.
