miHoYo's latest action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), is proving a hit on PlayStation, securing a place among the platform's most-played titles, joining the likes of established gaming giants.
Zenless Zone Zero, a free-to-play action RPG from the creators of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, has quickly gained popularity on PlayStation following its multi-platform release. This success marks a significant expansion for miHoYo beyond the mobile and gacha gaming markets.
Recent data from Circana's "US Player Engagement Tracker Top 10 Titles" report places ZZZ in the top 10 most popular PlayStation games. The ranking is based on weekly user engagement, not total playtime.
Launched on July 4th, ZZZ swiftly climbed the charts, reaching #12 on the PS5's Top 40 most-played games list during its debut week. Impressive mobile performance further underscores its success, generating nearly $52 million in gross player spending ($36.4 million net) within its first 11 days, peaking at $7.4 million on July 5th.
While not yet matching the overall success of miHoYo's other titles, ZZZ's performance is noteworthy, competing with established franchises like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Roblox. The game boasts a 4.5/5 star rating on the Epic Games Store, with players praising its engaging boss battles and compelling narrative.
Our review awarded ZZZ a 76/100, highlighting its stunning visuals and animations. For a complete review, follow the link below!
