A few thousand players will be able to test new Battlefield features

EA has unveiled an exciting new initiative called Battlefield Labs, essentially an internal closed beta for future titles in the acclaimed Battlefield series. The developers have tantalized fans with a brief glimpse of gameplay footage from the current pre-alpha stage, stoking anticipation for what's to come.

Within the confines of Battlefield Labs, a select group of invitees will have the opportunity to dive into and experiment with core mechanics and innovative concepts. However, it's worth noting that not all features tested will necessarily find their way into the final release. To maintain confidentiality, participants are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before gaining access to these early gameplay elements. The initial testing modes on offer will include fan favorites like Conquest and Breakthrough, with an emphasis in the early stages on refining combat dynamics and the game's signature destruction system, followed by crucial balance testing.

Pre-registration for this exclusive testing opportunity is now open for players on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. In the coming weeks, a few thousand lucky players will receive their invitations, with EA planning to gradually expand the program to additional regions over time.

The developers have confirmed that the new Battlefield title has officially entered a pivotal "key stage of development." While an official release date remains under wraps, excitement continues to build. The game is being crafted by a collaborative effort from four esteemed studios: DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect, promising a rich and immersive experience for fans of the franchise.
