First Bird Pokémon Arrives in Pokémon GO at Catch Mastery Event!

If you're an avid Pokémon GO player, you're in for a treat with the exciting lineup of events, including the much-anticipated Catch Mastery event. Alongside ongoing events like the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery, the Catch Mastery event adds even more thrill to the mix.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event kicks off from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon, giving you a golden opportunity to catch this fascinating creature. During the event, keep an eye out for wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and you might even encounter their Shiny versions, adding a layer of excitement to your hunt.

Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event comes with attractive XP bonuses: you'll earn double XP for Nice Throws or better, as well as for Curveball Throws, making it a perfect time to hone your throwing skills.

For those who enjoy a challenge, the event includes Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. Completing up to 10 sets of tasks can reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters, making it a rewarding experience for dedicated players.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Following the Catch Mastery event, get ready for the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol called Brutal Swing. Once the event begins, Absol will permanently have access to this powerful move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

To make the most of this event, from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. Additionally, you can obtain up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing you to collect a total of six passes for the day.

If you haven't yet, be sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join in on the fun.

Before you go, don't miss out on our coverage of the St. Patrick's Day event in Watcher of Realms, where you can enjoy the Four-Leaf Clover's Song Event.
