Stellar Blade DLC Update Unveiled

Stellar Blade's Patch 1.009: A Double-Edged Sword of Content and Bugs

Stellar Blade's highly anticipated update, Patch 1.009, delivered the much-requested Photo Mode and a thrilling NieR: Automata collaboration. However, this update also introduced several game-breaking bugs, leaving some players stranded.

Game-Breaking Glitches and the Upcoming Hotfix

Reports indicate that players are encountering softlocks during a specific main quest in an earlier dungeon, preventing progression. Further issues include game crashes when utilizing the Photo Mode's selfie camera and rendering problems with new cosmetic items for Eve. Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix patch to address these critical issues. Players are advised to avoid forcing quest progression and await the patch to prevent permanent softlocks.

NieR: Automata Collaboration and Enhanced Photo Mode

The collaboration with NieR: Automata is a significant addition, reflecting the mutual inspiration between directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro. Players can acquire 11 exclusive items by interacting with Emil, who has established a shop within Stellar Blade's world.

The new Photo Mode, a long-requested feature, allows players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. This feature is enhanced by four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory altering Tachy Mode appearance (unlocked after a specific game ending), and a "No Ponytail" option for increased customization.

Beyond the main additions, Patch 1.009 also includes lip-sync support for six additional languages, improved projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes for a more polished gameplay experience. While the new content is exciting, players should remain vigilant for the upcoming hotfix to resolve the current game-breaking bugs.
