Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4: A Console Testing Update from Toby Fox
Undertale creator Toby Fox recently provided an update on the console testing phase for Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4. While significant progress has been made, with fewer bugs reported, testing continues across various platforms. Fox specifically mentioned that PlayStation 5 testing hasn't yet begun.
A key development is the integration of save file transfer from the Chapters 1 and 2 demo. This feature, recently made possible by acquired technology, will allow players to carry their progress over to the full release of Chapters 3 and 4. Fox expressed optimism about its successful implementation. The positive beta testing suggests a potential release date sooner rather than later. Fox has confirmed a 2025 release window for Chapters 3 and 4.
Fox shared a humorous anecdote about a minigame he's developing, prompting speculation that it might be intended for Chapter 5. His family's interpretation of the minigame as a "cry for help" due to the delayed release, coupled with a friend's extended laughter, added to the lighthearted nature of the update.
More significantly, Fox confirmed the existence of a character named Tenna, previously only seen in the Spamton Sweepstakes campaign. A friend's comment expressing a longing for Tenna suggests her involvement in Chapter 3.
Deltarune, the spiritual successor to Undertale, continues to build anticipation. Players can look forward to rejoining Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on their world-saving adventure.
