Marvel Rivals Season 1: A New York City Nightmare – All New Maps Revealed
Marvel Rivals' first season continues to expand with exciting new content. Beyond the Fantastic Four additions, several new maps themed around a nightmarish, Dracula-infested New York City are being introduced. Let's explore each map in detail.
Table of Contents
Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown
Launching alongside Season 1, Midtown is a Convoy map designed for the game's payload mode. Players either escort or defend a moving vehicle across this dark, Dracula-infested version of Midtown Manhattan. It joins Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands as a Convoy map. Expect to encounter iconic Marvel and real-world locations including:
Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum
This unique map, a dark interpretation of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum, is exclusive to the game's Doom Match mode – a free-for-all deathmatch. Top players earn wins, with the best player crowned MVP. This beautifully rendered version of the iconic location, first introduced in a 1963 comic and famously featured in the MCU, is brimming with secrets, hidden portals, impossible architecture, and even a ghostly canine companion, Bats the Ghost Dog.
Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park
Expected to arrive later in Season 1, Central Park offers a stylized version of the real-world location, focusing on Belvedere Castle. This Gothic structure, perched atop one of the park's highest points, provides a fitting backdrop for the "Empire of Eternal Night" theme, likely serving as a Dracula hideout within the game's version of Central Park.
These are all the new maps confirmed for Marvel Rivals Season 1, promising a thrilling and visually stunning experience for players.
