Insomniac Games Remains Tight-Lipped on Marvel's Wolverine Release Date
Insomniac Games recently shared its future plans, but remained silent on updates for the highly anticipated Marvel's Wolverine. While the studio acknowledged taking on "great projects and a really ambitious roadmap," Co-Head Chad Dezern emphasized a focus on current projects and declined to confirm or deny a 2025 release for Wolverine. "As much as we have pent-up excitement, we've got to hold on to it," Dezern stated in an interview with Variety.

Wolverine's Development History and Shared Universe:
Initially announced during the 2021 PlayStation Showcase with a cinematic trailer, Marvel's Wolverine is confirmed for PlayStation 5. In 2023, Creative Director Bryan Intihar (Marvel's Spider-Man 2) confirmed the game's shared universe with Spider-Man, stating they are "all in 1048." While fans anticipated crossovers, the only confirmed connection so far is a Wolverine-themed suit in Spider-Man 2. A ransomware attack in December 2023 briefly exposed some Wolverine development assets to the public.

Other Insomniac Projects and Spider-Man 2 PC Release:
Insomniac announced that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will launch on PC on January 30, 2025, during New York Comic-Con 2025. The studio confirmed no further DLC for Spider-Man 2, but the PC version will include all post-launch updates. Two editions will be available: Standard and Digital Deluxe.
