With the wait for The Witcher 4 extending into 2027, fans of Naughty Dog’s newly announced game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, are facing a similar timeline. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier confirmed on ResetEra that neither title will see the light of day in 2026, setting the earliest release for both games at 2027. This delay sparks curiosity about whether Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will be designed for the PlayStation 5, the upcoming PlayStation 6, or as a cross-gen title.

If Intergalactic opts for a direct release on the PS6, Naughty Dog risks bypassing the PS5 generation entirely for new games.
