Palworld 的未来：持续更新还是转型为持续运营游戏？
Pocketpair 首席执行官水户部拓郎在接受 ASCII Japan 采访时，探讨了 Palworld 的未来发展方向，重点关注了将其转变为持续运营游戏的可能性以及玩家的预期。
商业前景与挑战并存
采访中，水户部拓郎表示，目前 Palworld 的未来发展方向尚未最终确定。开发团队 Pocketpair 计划更新游戏内容，包括新增地图、更多伙伴（Pals）和团队首领（raid bosses），以保持游戏的新鲜感。但他同时指出，Palworld 的未来有两种可能性：
水户部拓郎坦言：“从商业角度来看，将 Palworld 转变为持续运营游戏将带来更多盈利机会，并延长游戏寿命。” 然而，他也指出 Palworld 的初始设计并非基于持续运营模式，“因此如果走这条路，肯定会面临挑战。”
另一个需要仔细考虑的方面是，持续运营模式是否符合 Palworld 粉丝的期待。“最重要的是要确定玩家是否想要这种模式，” 他补充道，“通常情况下，一款游戏必须先采用免费游玩 (F2P) 模式，然后再添加付费内容，例如皮肤和战斗通行证。但 Palworld 是一款买断制游戏 (B2P)，因此将其转变为持续运营游戏并非易事。”
他进一步解释说：“有很多游戏成功地转向了 F2P 模式，” 例如《绝地求生》和《Fall Guys》，“但这两种游戏都花了数年时间才成功转型。虽然我理解持续运营模式对业务有利，但这并不简单。”
目前，Pocketpair 正在探索更多方法来吸引新玩家并留住现有玩家。水户部拓郎提到，他们也考虑过广告变现，但前提是这对于移动游戏比较容易实现，而 PC 游戏则很难适应。“即使对 PC 游戏有效，Steam 玩家也会讨厌广告。很多用户在看到广告时都会生气。”
“所以，目前我们正在仔细权衡 Palworld 应该采取的方向，” 水户部拓郎总结道。目前，Palworld 仍处于抢先体验阶段，最近刚刚发布了大型更新 Sakurajima，并推出了备受期待的 PvP 竞技场模式。
