Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of Surprises and New Features
Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a wave of fresh content, including the usual three expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons. The success of the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has clearly energized Blizzard, leading to an exciting roadmap for the year.
What's New in the Year of the Raptor?
A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena revamp. In development since last year, this update promises a revitalized Arena experience for both veteran and new players.
Cosmetics are also receiving a significant upgrade. Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards, along with a brand-new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, though details remain under wraps for now.
The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion. Card reveals start next week, but you can already earn in-game rewards. Complete the Event Track to unlock prizes including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

A dynamic, evolving game board is launching alongside the expansion. This Year of the Raptor board will remain throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each new expansion.
The Core Set is also getting a refresh, featuring returning classic cards (with some adjustments) and brand-new additions.
