In *Marvel Rivals*, the second set of challenges for Midnight Features II involves the hero Squirrel Girl and includes a unique task: rescuing Ratatoskr in Central Park. While some challenges are straightforward, like dealing damage as the furry Duelist, rescuing Ratatoskr requires a bit more effort. Let's dive into who Ratatoskr is and how to successfully complete this challenge.
To successfully tackle the Midnight Features II challenges and earn your rewards, it's essential to understand Ratatoskr's role. Contrary to the rumors circulating among New York's citizens about Squirrel Girl turning into a monster, Ratatoskr is actually an Asgardian beast who appears as a squirrel. Historically, she has served as a messenger for Asgard, though she has a tendency to escape and cause chaos. In the current scenario, Ratatoskr finds herself trapped in a Dracula-controlled New York, needing your assistance to escape. Understanding her background will give you the edge you need to complete this challenge.
Central Park serves as the special map for Season 1.5, similar to Midtown at the start of Season 1. Unlike other maps in Quick Match and Competitive, which are randomly selected, players can choose to play on Central Park at their convenience. However, rescuing Ratatoskr five times quickly will still require some luck.
When playing on Central Park, you'll spot a giant squirrel chained up in the center of the map, regardless of whether you're on the attacking or defending team. This is Ratatoskr, and to free her, you must be on the attacking side. The map functions like other Convoy maps, requiring you and your team to reach Ratatoskr's location and fill the progress bars until she's liberated. But freeing her is only part of the challenge; you must also transport her to the other side of the map to secure victory.
Completing this task can be demanding since there's no way to ensure you're on the attacking team each time. You may need to play multiple games on Central Park until you successfully free Ratatoskr five times. Remember, both the Central Park mode and the Midnight Features II challenges are available for a limited time, so don't delay. While working on this quest, you can also tackle other Midnight Features III challenges to maximize your progress.
