Three legendary female fighting game icons immediately spring to mind: Nina Williams, Chun-Li, and Mai Shiranui. While Street Fighter x Tekken featured a memorable clash between Nina and Chun-Li, a rematch isn't on the horizon.
However, Mai Shiranui's arrival as a guest character in Street Fighter 6 is a different story. Tellingly, her gameplay trailer showcases a direct confrontation with Chun-Li.
Mai's signature moves are all present, her Super looks spectacular, and she's poised to become a highly popular addition to Street Fighter 6's roster. Sadly, fans will need to exercise patience; Capcom has set the release date for February 5th, meaning a three-week wait.
Let's hope the Street Fighter 6 team keeps the hype alive with additional content to bridge the gap.
