The ID@Xbox showcase delivered a delightful surprise: Jimbo, the mischievous mastermind behind Balatro, announced the game's arrival on Xbox Game Pass—available now! And he brought friends.
Today's trailer revealed a new "Friends of Jimbo" update for Balatro, boasting a fresh batch of face card customizations. The trailer showcased additions inspired by popular franchises including Bugsnax, Civilization, Assassin's Creed, Slay the Princess, Friday the 13th, and Fallout.
This marks the fourth "Friends of Jimbo" update, following previous additions featuring characters and themes from The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, Among Us, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Vampire Survivors, Stardew Valley, and more. As with previous updates, expect purely cosmetic enhancements; no significant gameplay alterations are anticipated.
But the real news? Balatro is instantly playable on Xbox Game Pass! Previously available for individual purchase on Xbox, this makes indulging in Balatro's addictive card-based gameplay even easier. Jimbo would undoubtedly approve.
