Halloween has arrived early in Vampire Survivors, and poncle is going all out with Update 1.14, now available on iOS and Android. This massive update delivers the long-awaited online co-op, an official Balatro crossover, and the return of the Ode to Castlevania—all in one powerful release. Clearly, poncle has stopped making small updates altogether.
If you’ve been waiting to survive alongside friends instead of just nearby, online co-op is nearly here. Up to four players can team up to face endless waves in real-time online sessions. It’s cross-platform, smooth, and still runs perfectly on your phone without overheating. Join or host lobbies using a code, and yes—you still count as surviving even if you’re hiding behind your squad.
Then there’s Balatro. In collaboration with LocalThunk and Playstack, poncle has fused the wild world of cards and clowns directly into the chaos of Vampire Survivors. Get ready for poker jokes, absurd synergies, and four new characters that feel like they escaped from a cursed deck. Jimbo, Canio, Chicot, and Perkeo each bring unique mechanics, plus new weapons like Infernolatro and Fibonacci Seltzer that seem harmless—until your screen bursts into flames.
The Ode to Castlevania expansion is back with 16 new characters, 12 new music tracks, and a stage dripping with nostalgic vibes. It’s priced at $3.99 with a launch discount, but if you already own the DLC, it’s free. There’s also the playful Westwoods and Mazerella updates, both now on mobile, adding even more mayhem, wordplay, and (pretend) monetisation jokes for fun.
And if your thumbs need a break from touchscreen chaos, Vampire Survivors: The Board Game just launched its Kickstarter today. poncle also confirms two more major updates are on the way, so if you thought you’d finally escaped this endless night, think again.
