Monster Hunter Wilds presents a vast and intricately connected world, offering players an immersive open environment that encourages exploration. One player recently took to showcasing just how expansive and seamlessly linked the game’s zones truly are by embarking on a long journey from the starting area all the way to some of the final regions.
On the Monster Hunter subreddit, user -BrotherPig- shared a video documenting their trek through the diverse landscapes of Monster Hunter Wilds. Beginning in the Windward Plains, they traversed rolling dunes and shifting terrain, continuing through mid and late-game zones before finally reaching some of the most remote areas the game has to offer. If you haven’t completed the main story yet, be warned—there may be spoilers ahead.
"Did you know there's only 1 loading screen between the Plains and Suja? 9min ride through all zones."

The journey is nothing short of impressive, highlighting the seamless transition between zones. Aside from one loading screen encountered midway—specifically when moving from the Oilwell Basin into the Iceshard Cliffs—the entire trip is done in one continuous run, showcasing the scale and design of the Forbidden Lands. It's a testament to the effort put into crafting a cohesive and navigable open world.
Of course, Monster Hunter Wilds isn't entirely devoid of loading screens. In addition to the one seen during this traversal, there are others when entering training grounds or fast traveling. However, the level of connectivity on display gives players a new appreciation for the pathways and hidden routes that link the world together.
