Set in a post-apocalyptic London ravaged by an Outworld invasion, Tides of Annihilation follows Gwendolyn, seemingly the last human survivor. The game blends a modern-day setting with fantasy elements directly inspired by Arthurian myths.
Devil May Cry-Inspired Combat and Challenging Boss Battles
The gameplay, clearly inspired by Devil May Cry, offers customizable combat styles with four weapons and over ten knight companions. Gwendolyn commands these legendary Knights as she navigates ruined London, uncovering the secrets behind the invasion. The game boasts over 30 bosses, promising challenging encounters. Accessibility is a key focus, with adjustable difficulty settings to cater to a broader player base.
Potential for a Mythology-Based Anthology
Eclipse Glow Games hinted at future plans to expand the franchise into an anthology, featuring diverse settings and mythologies, each with a unique protagonist. The core concept of the Outworld invasion would remain central to this potential anthology. The success of Tides of Annihilation will be crucial in determining the future of this ambitious project.
Currently in beta, Tides of Annihilation is slated for a 2026 release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players will journey with Gwendolyn as she confronts destiny and battles to save both London and the intertwining fantasy realm of Avalon.
