Battlefield 6 Balance Updates and Future Events
Developers Prioritize Underpowered Vehicles Over Dominant Ones
Battlefield 6 executive producer David Sirland has openly addressed ongoing balancing issues, emphasizing that the team prefers cautious vehicle tuning rather than risking overpowered mechanics. In a September 9 Twitter (X) thread, Sirland responded to player feedback regarding unrestricted class loadouts.
Community member GhostGaming raised concerns about unintended consequences of the "open weapons" system, stating it enables "extremely unbalanced combinations" that undermine gameplay integrity, commenting: "This perfectly illustrates why unrestricted class systems often fail."
The "Open Class" system removes traditional weapon restrictions tied to the four core classes - Assault, Support, Engineer, and Recon. Unlike previous franchise entries, Battlefield 6 allows players to combine any unlocked weapon with any class specialization.

Sirland responded to the critique with measured optimism, noting that plentiful anti-tank options don't necessarily create balance issues. He explained: "Let's be honest - this type of playstyle isn't truly effective (unless you can permanently secure the position - which can always be neutralized with proper tactics)."
Another player expressed concern about infantry handling excessive anti-vehicle capabilities. Sirland acknowledged this as part of broader balance challenges the team is currently addressing. "We're actively working through these systemic balance issues," he confirmed.
The producer elaborated on their cautious approach: "We'd rather roll out vehicles that feel underwhelming initially than risk releasing them as unstoppable forces. Player mastery naturally increases vehicle effectiveness over time anyway."
Single-Player Campaign Premiere at Tokyo Game Show 2025

Alongside balancing updates, anticipation builds for the game's narrative campaign. The official Tokyo Game Show 2025 website announced a dedicated Battlefield 6: Single-Player Live Showcase scheduled for streaming via TGS's official YouTube channel.
The presentation will feature English voice actors and showcase the game's globe-spanning campaign narrative. This marks a franchise return to traditional single-player focus after Battlefield 2042's multiplayer-only approach.

According to TGS organizers, attendees will enjoy hands-on demos with opportunities to earn exclusive event rewards. Complete schedule details and stage programming for Battlefield 6's TGS 2025 presence will be revealed in coming weeks.
Battlefield 6 launches worldwide October 10, 2025 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms including Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA App. For continuing updates on the game's development, explore our additional coverage below.
