This week, the developers of InZOI are taking a well-deserved break to celebrate the New Year, enjoying a three-day holiday in South Korea. Before embarking on their holiday, project lead Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim provided some exciting updates on the features that fans have been eagerly requesting for the game. These updates shed light on which features will be implemented and to what extent.

In InZOI, players will have the ability to utilize real facial capture technology to create templates for crafting zois. This feature, previously highlighted in summer announcements as highly convenient, is being further refined to simplify the process of creating zois even more, as emphasized by Kjun. Additionally, players will have the option to include their own pets within the game, though this feature won't be available during the early access phase. Fans will need to exercise a bit of patience, but it's a feature that Kjun, an avid animal lover himself, is particularly excited about.
The game environment will feature tall buildings, with a cap set at 30 floors. While the game engine theoretically supports higher constructions, this limitation has been implemented to address potential performance issues and ensure a smoother gaming experience. InZOI will also introduce gas stations and combat scenarios. Kjun noted that the initial slap mechanic from early previews was perceived as too shallow by players. In response to this feedback, the game now includes more comprehensive fighting mechanics, complete with winners and losers, adding depth to the gameplay.
Recognizing that many newcomers unfamiliar with the genre may try InZOI, the developers are including a tutorial to help ease players into the game. This thoughtful consideration for player experience is commendable and sets a positive tone for the game's accessibility.
As of now, Krafton is still on track to release InZOI in early access at the end of March, with no further delays currently anticipated. This update from Kjun not only showcases the team's commitment to enhancing the game based on community feedback but also builds anticipation for the upcoming early access release.
